Dr. David Russell

dr_david_russell.jpgDavid Russell has lived in Denmark since 1969 and has worked in the health field since 1974. In 1973 he received his M.F.A. Magister of Arts and Humanities in Denmark where he was Director of Limfjord College of Art. He received his Ph.d. in Naturopthy in 2002, and his Doctor of Science degree in Chinese Medicine in 2006. David has worked with the Chaplains ministry at Tucson Medical Center, and at the Wilmot Federal Prison Tucson, and has his own practice for Integrated Health in Tucson Arizona and in Denmark.

David has certifications in Reflexology, Homeopathy, Acupuncture, Biochemistry, and Islamic Medicine, as well as certification in Kneipp Therapy from the German/Norwegian Naturheil Schule. David is also a certified Ayurvedic Therapist from the American Institute of Vedic Studies. He received training in the Netherlands in the field of Anthroposophical Medicine as a Therapeutic Teacher and Homeopath working with multi-handicapped children. David has studied and practiced with masters in Tibetan Medicine, Ayurvedic Medicine, Islamic Medicine, and Homeopathy in Europe and Nepal.

The last thirty years, David has taught Classical Medical disciplines and Spiritual Psychology in Europe, Nepal, and the USA. David is a founding member of the Danish Society for Integrated Medicine, and was instrumental in establishing the three major clinics for Integrated Medicine in Denmark. David was also project coordinator for a funded research project in homeopathy for the Royal Danish College of Agriculture in Copenhagen and held the position as North American consultant for the Scandinavian Institute of Environmental Technology.

David is the author of the award winning book Healthy Solutions, a book on holistic medicine. He is co-author of Holistic Parenting, as well as Helping Kids Cope with Stress and Trauma. David lectures extensively in Europe and the US, has been interviewed on radio and television and published numerous articles on health issues.

David has been an affiliate faculty member of the Interfaith Theological Seminary, and a lecturer for the Arizona School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. He was Founder and Director of the non-profit organization CARITAS TRADITIONALIS; an international project (NGO) whose goal is to create self-sustainable medical presence in economically depressed communities.
