Oral Sedation Dentistry has been used safely for over 30 years for millions of dental procedures. At Smile Spa, we do a review of your medical history before starting any treatments. And, of course, we will tell you what to expect from sedation. As always, our goal is to provide you with the ultimate in comfort as we work together towards a healthy new smile for you.
Here’s how it works:
- Prior to your appointment, we will supply you with a mild tranquilizer which we will ask you to take before your visit to Smile Spa. Please make sure you have a driver to get you to and from our office.
- From the minute you arrive until the procedure is complete, our experienced clinical team will make certain that you're relaxed and completely comfortable, while we monitor you very closely throughout the procedure.
- Most patients feel no discomfort whatsoever during and after treatment, and have little or no memory of the visit.
Sedation Dentistry allows us to complete most of your dental care in one appointment. More involved procedures such as whitening extremely stained teeth, replacing crowns or dentures, fixing chipped or damaged teeth and periodontics may require an additional visit.
